Dr Adrian Lowe is an Allergic Disease Epidemiologist with strengths in epidemiological methods and biostatistics. He holds a Master of Public Health (epidemiology and biostatistics), and was awarded his PhD in 2008. His thesis was awarded the “Dean's Award" and “Head of School's Award" for Excellence. He was also awarded a National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) postdoctoral training fellowship (2009-12), and a Career Development Fellowship (2013-16). Dr Lowe has 65 peer-reviewed publications (46 since 2009) and 12 published letters. Of his peer-reviewed papers, he is the lead, second, third or last author on 70% of these papers, and 30% have been published discipline leading journals (Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and BMJ). He is an active collaborator on a number of research projects, including the Melbourne Atopy Cohort study, HealthNuts, RHINESSA and he is the principle investigator of the Prevention of Eczema By a Barrier Lipid Equilibrium Strategy (PEBBLES) project.
