Biography

Dr Desalegn is Chief Executive Officer of the University of Gondar Hospital and an associate professor in the Institute of Public Health, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, University Gondar (Ethiopia). He graduated in Medicine at University of Gondar and did Masters in Public health (health Information Systems) at the University of Western Cape (South Africa) and another master in Bioethics at a consortium of three European Universities namely Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium), Radboud University (Netherlands) and Padova University (Italy). He teaches Epidemiology, Research Methods and Health Informatics courses to different categories of health sciences students and mentor research work of both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
