Biography

Delia Leal has been a member of the Barry community since 2010. She serves as Assistant Professor of the graduate program teaching advance pathophysiology, pharmacology, health assessment, and the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program. Delia Leal is a Barry Graduate. She completed her bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2005 and her master’s degree as an Advanced Registered Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in 2009. She is a foreign medical Doctor in Cuba and Costa Rica with many years of training in internal medicine, critical care, and pulmonary medicine. Her current clinical practice as Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner is in the specialty of pulmonary and critical care. Delia Leal is currently enrolled in the Doctoral Philosophy (PhD in Nursing) program. Her research interest is sleep apnea.
