Principal Investigator, Archaeological Heritage Resources And Cultural Tourism Development In The Dangbe West District, Dodowa, Greater Accra Region. This study seeks to employ Archaeological, Landscape and Historical strategies to investigate the Frederikstaed Plantation and Historic sections of the Dodowa Town. The Frederikstaed Plantation is one of the earliest Plantations established by the Danes in the hinterland of the Southeastern Gold Coast. This Plantation was established at Dodowa in 1794 by a Danish Slave Trader, called Jens Neilsen Flindt. By 1801, the Plantation had been abandoned. Today, the ruins of the Plantation are located in the broad valley of the Dodowa River covered by thick woods.
