Caroline Reid is Associate Dean, and a member of the Health, Education, Sports and Social Sciences Faculty Executive. With a strategic lead responsibility for the enhancement of the students' academic experience, Caroline works closely with the Faculty Schools, and also with cross-faculty and professional services colleagues on university projects Caroline started her professional career in nursing, is a registered nurse and practice educator, and originally moved into Higher Education from practice to lead the undergraduate BSc provision as nursing moved to a graduate entry profession. A growing interest in pedagogy led her into quality enhancement and academic practice development roles, and prior to starting at Bedfordshire in 2013, Caroline was Head of Learning and Teaching in the University Centre for Learning and Teaching Enhancement at Middlesex University. She has worked closely with the Higher Education Academy, as a Learning and teaching consultant for assessment at the Health Sciences and Practice Centre, and in leading their national assessment special interest group, and is currently a member of the HEA Deans of Health group.
