Carlene obtained her BTech in Biomedical Technology at Cape Peninsula University of Technology, South Africa, in 2011. Carlene went on to complete her two-year internship at the National Health Laboratory Service where she obtained her registration as a Medical Technologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa. Carlene has over nine years of experience in diagnostic genetics, and joined Genesis Genetics South Africa in 2016.
