Biography

I am a Senior Midwifery Lecturer and Course Co-coordinator for Midwifery 3-year programme at the University of Bedfordshire. My background is clinical midwifery, with a vast experience in many aspects of midwifery care. I trained in Derby City Hospital through the University of Nottingham in 1994 and took my first job at the Northern General hospital in Sheffield in 1997 where I consolidated my training. In 2000 I took a role in Watford General Hospital where I helped to set up and establish a low risk midwife-led unit, which developed into a very successful birth centre.
