Sheta is currently working as visiting assistant professor for entrepreneurship, management and innovation at The American University in Cairo. He is the winner of the adjunct faculty teaching excellence award at the AUC for the academic year 2015-2016. He is also working as a free-lance trainer and consultant in the fields of planning, strategic management, innovation, technology and knowledge management as well as entrepreneurship and small business management. He also won the certificate of performance excellence from the AUC executive education for the years 2015 and 2016. Sheta is a board member of the Middle East Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (MAKSABY) an affiliate of the International Council for Small Business (ICSB) with the strategic agenda of promoting and supporting entrepreneurship and small business in the MENA region. He is also member of the ICSB academy grouping renowned instructors in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation with an agenda of promoting entrepreneurship education internationally. He was the vice president of the Egyptian Junior Business association (EJB) and was responsible for developing the Egyptian national business agenda in partnership with Center for International Private Enterprises (CIPE) for three consecutive years until November 2009, tackling 14 different industries in Egypt.
