• Nursing head of facility and reporting to regional director of nursing.  • Directly responsible for a team of 6 charge nurses and 4 nursing supervisors who administer patient-care to the 100-bed facility & manage 175 nursing employees. • Evaluate staffing patterns/needs and match staff competency with patient acuity. • Select and hire qualified applicants and develop role definitions for staff consistent with scope of practice. • Oversee orientation process and evaluate the effectiveness of orientation. • Identify key performance indicators, evaluate performance data and respond to outcome measurement findings. • Ensure compliance with in all levels of nursing department to align with the corporate guidelines. • Maintain benchmarked quality standards in customer service, patient care and develop strategies to address patient satisfaction issues.
