Biography

Degree in Agriculture Science at Padova University in 1982. From 1989 until 1994 Researcher at the “Centro di Studio sui Diserbanti” (Weed Research Centre) of the Italian National Research Council in Padova, where he is in charge of several research projects. From 1995 researcher at the “Dipartimento di Agronomia Ambientale e Produzioni Vegetali” (Department of Agronomy) of the University of Padova, from November 2000 Associate Professor and from 2010 Full Professor at the same Department. At present, its main areas of interest are a) the long-term evolution of soil fertility and cropping systems sustainability and b) soil organic carbon dynamic in cropping systems. He has published more than 140 scientific papers. One of the papers has been awarded as the best paper for the year 1992 published in “Weed Technology”. Member of several national and international scientific societies.
