Biography

Ann Krastev is a Senior Research Assistant working with the Maternal Health Study research team in the Healthy Mothers Healthy Families research group. Ann was one of the original project co-ordinators for the Maternal Health Study and led the conduct of two waves of CATI interviews and data collection from medical records before taking maternity leave for the birth of her two children. For the past eight years, she has combined working as a research midwife with clinical work. She is also co-author of the Cochrane Systematic Review of randomised trials evaluating early obstetric discharge for healthy mothers and term infants, and worked on a study evaluating maternity services enhancement strategies implemented across four maternity hospitals in Melbourne's south eastern suburbs.
