Andrea Bowens joins the Samford faculty from physical therapy clinical practice. Bowens has more than six years of experience working in both an outpatient orthopedic clinic and a sports medicine clinic at a Birmingham-area high school. Her clinical interests have focused on post-operative rehabilitation, sports-related injuries, and return-to-sport and injury prevention programs. Bowens grew up in Gainesville, Florida in a family of educators, so it was only a matter of time before she followed her passion for teaching and research. Bowens and her husband, Britt, have one young son.
