Ana Silva is Lab Unit Director at Heart Genetics. She holds a master degree in Biotechnology and was a Research Fellow in Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Lisbon, were, in collaboration with IST, she studied the molecular pathways involved in cell response to newly-synthesized compounds with anti tumor activity. Ana was CTO and board member in the biotechnology start-up Ibergene, where she was responsible for the development and implementation of personalized genetic tests and for the company’s laboratory and technical protocols. She was also involved in the business plan development and fund raising for the Ibergene spin-off project.
