Biography

Ana Cardoso joined the Institute in 2008. Her fields of interest are labor economics and economics of inequality. She works on topics such as earnings dispersion and mobility, employer behavior, and the impact of labor market institutions and regulations, from an empirical microeconomic standpoint. She is also interested in the links between higher education and the labor market. Before joining the Institute, she has been Senior Research Associate at IZA Bonn (Institute for the Study of Labor) in Germany and Associate Professor at the Minho University in Portugal. She is currently a Research Fellow of IZA Bonn.
