Biography

I joined Kingston as Head of Department and Associate Professor in Fine Art in 2015, having previously been Head of the School of Art and Design at U.W.E, Bristol. I lead the Department's undergraduate and postgraduate provision, teaching across the taught programmes, and supervise PhD students in the Contemporary Art Research Centre (CARC), of which I am also Director. Over the course of my career I have been involved in national and international partnerships and since 2017 I have been the School lead on International matters for Art and Architecture, building contacts with colleagues across the sector in Europe and the US.

Research Intrest

I have a keen interest in peer learning and artists networks beyond Higher Education, and have helped establish support networks, studios and cooperative gallery spaces and taken part in events and publications addressing the role of professional skills within and outside of the institution.
