Biography

MSC in Advanced Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy with distinction (UCL) Alex Harvey is a physiotherapy lecturer specialising in the cardiorespiratory area. She is the module leader for the Level 1 and Level 2 cardiorespiratory modules. Alex still works clinically at the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Trust and specialises in critical care. Alex's research interests are 'dysfunctional breathing/hyperventilation syndrome', 'physiotherapy management of bronchiectasis' and 'manual and ventilator hyperinflation'. Alex is a senior teaching fellow at University College London. She is a course tutor for the MSc in Advanced Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy.
