He studied Microbiology from Lagos State University and proceeded to obtain Master degree in Medical parasitology from the University of Lagos, in Lagos Nigeria. He also obtained Associate in Medical Laboratory Science from the Nigeria Institute of Medical Research Council, Yaba, Nigeria. Later further my studies to Ph.D Parasitology from University of Agriculture in Abeokuta Ogun State, Nigeria.His PhD work was on Molecular parasitology and he used PCR methods to identified snails intermediate hosts for Schistosomiasis.
