I have a clinical background in podiatry, and trained at the University of Salford, graduating in 1988. I worked in clinical practice for the National Health Service from 1989 until 2008 specialising in foot care for high risk patients including being a part of the the diabetes team in an acute hospital setting and educational side of podiatry to both patients and students alike. Over the course of my clinical career, I became increasingly interested in the psychological aspect of healthcare and student clinical education. I decided to further these two interests and in 2008 I took up a non-clinical role as a practice education facilitator (PEF) to support clinical staff and healthcare organisations in providing high quality clinical placements to non-medical healthcare students.   School Home About the School of Healthcare Practice Undergraduate provision Nursing, midwifery, medical and dental courses Postgraduate provision Post-qualifying and CPD courses Partnership and Consultancy Working Student Profiles Staff Carla Ball Mary Beckwith Philip Beckwith Stephen Bilham Marlon Bridgeman Barbara Bromley Dr Marvelle Brown Rachel Bruce Dr Barbara Burden Anne Butterworth Jackie Cashmore Kelly Clifford Prof Mike Cook Theresa Curry Linda Dean Meryl Dimmock Ian Dove Gina Elworthy Jacqueline England Dr Anthony Farrant Lea Fowler Rebecca Garcia Dr Ruth Gilbert Malcolm Headland Bernadette Henderson Katherine Hopkinson Dr Sue Higham Samantha Hull Claire Kane Jane Kemp Tony Kemp MBE Charles Kpodo Sandra Leggetter Richard Lumb Bella Madden Robert Mann Melsina Makaza Fortune Mhlanga Frank Milligan Louise Molson Kaidu Mustapha-Saliho Christine Norgate Marcia Ogunji Dr Chris Papadopoulos Mark Pedder Elizabeth Phasey Jane Pooley Katy Anna Powis Joanne Sale Marie Savage Adrienne Sharples Renate Taylor Andrea Thompson Gill Treverton Dr Mark Wareing Dr Hoda Wassif Melanie Webb Karen White Amanda Willetts Nicky Williams Aileen Wilson Adrienne Sharples Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing I am employed as a senior lecturer, principally aligned to the foundation degree in healthcare, but also teach on nursing and Operating Department Practitioner preregistration courses.
