He previously served as executive vice president and president, biodefense division from March 2011 to March 2017. Prior to that, Mr. Havey has held various roles including president of Emergent Biodefense operations Lansing from January 2009 to February 2011, vice president of business Operations from November 2007 to December 2008, senior director of manufacturing development from June 2006 to November 2007, director of facilities, resource planning and security operations from February 2005 to June 2006, and project manager from July 2003 to February 2005. Prior to joining Emergent, Mr. Havey served in product development for Eli Lilly. He received a B.S. degree in chemical engineering from Michigan State University.
