Biography

Dutta is a senior engineer and the supervisor of the Biorefinery Analysis Section in the National Bioenergy Center (NBC) at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). Dutta has more than 20 years of experience in process engineering, including expertise in process modeling. He led and/or contributed to analyses, detailed reports, and publications on biomass conversion, including many studies as the principal investigator for the Thermochemical Conversion Analysis task at the NBC from 2008 to 2014. Prior to joining NREL, Dutta worked at Bloom Energy and Aspen Technology on process control and simulator development.
