Aarti joined the School of Management & Public Administration in 2009 under the Graduate Assistant Scholarship. She has pursued Post-graduate studies in the Management field and later completed Master in Commerce program (MCom) in 2011. Recently she completed some units under the Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching program. Prior to joining USP, Aarti has worked in the non-profit sector as well as the private sector. She started her career as an intern at Tappoos marketing department. She later joined the Citizen’s Constitutional Forum as a research assistant. Aarti developed a passion for teaching and research work upon undertaking graduate studies. She has assisted several academics in research work within SMPA before pursuing her independent research as part of her Masters studies under the supervision of Dr. Gurmeet Singh. She has participated in local and international conferences to present and share some of her key research findings which later resulted in quality research publications. Another highlight of her graduate studies was participating in the 3M Thesis Competition which challenged research students to present their findings within 3 minutes. Aarti believes that learning is a life-long process and everyone should feel compelled to upgrade their skills & knowledge and take on new challenges. Over the years of her tenure, she has tutored units such as Marketing Principles, New Venture Creation (Entrepreneurship), Operations Management, International Marketing, and Quality Management. Aarti is passionate about topics relating to social marketing, health marketing, sustainable entrepreneurship, social innovation, and civic education.
