Biography

"My research focuses on comparisons in brain morphology between different species. Having previously worked with mammalian, reptilian and avian brains, I’m interested to observe the differences in brain regions between and within these groups and how this relates to differences in their behaviour. I’m currently part of a project, along with colleagues at the Canadian centre for behavioural neuroscience, that is investigating how neuronal complexity changes in a species that hibernates in the winter and is only active for a few months of the year."
